This month is Congenital Heart Disease awareness month, and I urge you to recognize this very worthy cause even if only for a couple of days. I want you to meet Aiden…isn’t he a doll?
This handsome little man was born with several heart defects and has already gone through one open heart surgery, with 2 more already scheduled, since his birth on December 2, 2013. Between feeding tubes, medications and health setbacks, he has already endured more in his short life than anyone should in the course of a lifetime, but he and his sweet family are facing the future with hope and determination.
One in 125 babies is born with congenital heart defects and CHDs are responsible for more infant deaths than SIDS. A child is diagnosed with CHD every 15 minutes, yet research into congenital heart defects is seriously underfunded, and the financial burden placed upon the family facing treatment is staggering. Please visit A Heart For Aiden to learn more about this sweet boy’s journey and see how you can help uplift his family through your gift of love, prayers and encouragement.
Together, we can help this little Heart Warrior through his uphill climb.
